On 12 October 2024 we held our annual summer league awards party.

Some of our wonderful members kindly loaned the club their table tennis table, there was Play Your Cards Right and other games that went on into the early hours of the morning!

Chairman Jordan continued the tradition of Chairman’s BBQ and lots of league and non-league members put their glad rags on. 

Awards

JUNIORS

Ladies Captain Alex Lambert, gave a shout out to the junior winners - Zac Dukes won the boys competition and Ezme won the girls competition after a close battle with Amelie . 

Amelie was also named junior player of the year.  

LADIES

Alex recognised the commitment of three players this year who played in all 10 matches - Amy Scott, Claire Baker and Jo Kallevik.

The ‘players player’ award is voted for by the players themselves and to show just how popular everyone is, there were seven nominees.  The person who had the most votes is a lady who swooped into Cleeve Hill with her infectious smile, hilarious never-ending stories and her desire to have fun and get better at tennis. A lovely positive outlook and testament to her positive nature. The award went to the one and only Amy Scott. 

The Captain’s award of ‘Ladies league player of the year’ went to someone who consistently performed well throughout the season. Her commitment was second to none as she played in all 10 matches and comes out of the season with a 65% win rate and 6th position out of 59 Division 2 league player - Jo Kallevik. 

MEN

Special mention to Mike Davey for winning 17/18 matches in the 2nd team

The players who played 10/10 matches included Archie Perkins, Marc Bryant, Kevin Bressington.  

Well done all and a huge thank you to our two Captains for all of their organisation.
