Our club has changed so much over short period of time and everyone in and around Avon tennis is talking about us in such positive ways and it’s great to hear their feedback.
In the last 12 months alone we have:
- Introduction of the monthly newsletter and updates
- Entered into a ball recycling scheme where we collect, send off and receive money for them.
- Completed the refurb of the club and held our grand opening
- Installed smart locks on the front door and our courts, leading the way across the county and remove the need for keys across the club
- Installed a community defib and received a grant from the council to do so
- Contracted a gardening/ground management company to maintain the land and treat the court surfaces. Including clearing leaves
- Introduced a new external coach to provide midweek coaching. Still an area we are learning in
- Upgraded our CCTV system to help keep the club secure
- Implemented tennis for tots and parents courses for those too young for Saturday’s. Parents and children are really enjoying it
- Reintroduced our social membership for those who want to be a part of the club whilst not using the tennis facilities
- Discharged our planning conditions which were put on us when we built the 3rd court. This included fencing, planting and others things. All now completed after a great project
- Introduced free lights for members on all 3 courts
- Grown our adult & junior members once again and have retained 122 adult members and have around 90 juniors on our Saturday coaching programme
- 15 team across multiple leagues and age groups represented over the last 12 months. We have just entered 2 teams into the padel league and we won 3 trophies this year (Mens vets, Winter league & Mixed summer league).
We're looking forward to 2025.
